“Invocation to Peace” is an abstract dance film where the world is reduced to a waving hand holding a white linen against the wind. The background of the electrical installations of a railway station serve to create a sharp contrast of hard lines that oppose the fluidity of the linen and the hand, and the use of mirror effects helps isolating the hand from the world, creating new shapes and a new choreography with the combined movement of the hand, the camera and the postproduction mirror effects.
The editing follows the phrases extracted from Johannes Brahms’ Intermezzo op. 188 nº 6, both in movement and energy and the association of darker more somber images with the low pitched passages of the music.
