The unfulfilled journey of a woman.
“Voyage Inassouvi,” explores the yearning for departure and the frustration of unfulfilled desires. Through a blend of choreography and camera movement, we witness the internal struggle of a woman trapped within the confines of her home.
The camera continuously tracks her movements as she navigates the familiar space. This sense of constant movement is juxtaposed with a feeling of being stuck, achieved by the camera technique. As the woman reaches a wall, the camera seamlessly transitions, seemingly passing through the barrier. We find ourselves in another space, a street, a bus station, with the woman continuing her walk, the desire to leave seemingly unwavering.
The film employs a minimalist aesthetic, focusing on the woman’s movements and the interplay between her and the camera. The score has been composed to delve into the woman’s emotional state.
